Hiroki Morinoue is a local Big island artist who specializes in printing and woodblock carving. I participated in a class of his last month, where we experimented with monoprints. This has probably my favorite art class so far! Full of surprises, play, lots of ink and some really neat and unexpected results. During class he mentioned that if you’re not sure where to start with your design, just start playing around the edges, and good things will come. That spoke to me, so I wrote it down to use in one of my wallpapers.
